My Father the King
The Outcast Crew

Tickets are €20 with doors opening at 7pm and music continuing until late.
This promises to be one of the biggest local music nights of the summer — bringing together generations of musicians, supporters, football fans and music lovers for a fantastic cause.
About The Bands
Genocide
The five original members of Genocide — Alan McEvoy, Bill Harney, Ken Holohan, Jimmy Hewitt and Larry Browne — hadn’t played together for 25 years before reforming for a number of special gigs over the past few years.
Their return has become something of a local legend, with longtime fans getting the rare chance to relive the raw energy and spirit that made the band such a memorable part of the local music scene.
Lounge Act
Lounge Act bring an explosive live show built around their admiration for Nirvana and the grunge era.
Formed in 2010 by Eugene, Niall, Benny and Jerry, the band have built a strong following around Portlaoise and beyond through their energetic performances and eclectic mix of covers.
Their current live set aims to recreate the chaos and electricity of Nirvana’s iconic 1992 Reading Festival performance — widely regarded as one of the greatest live rock performances ever captured.
My Father the King
Portlaoise’s own My Father the King deliver a powerful blend of alternative rock and punk energy.
Originally formed in 2013, the band endured lineup changes and the heartbreaking loss of drummer Alan Ryan in 2019, but have emerged stronger than ever with renewed passion and energy.
Their debut EP Toy Guns for Fun established the band as one of the region’s most authentic original acts, with highlights including sharing the stage with Kilkenny rock legends Kerbdog.
The current lineup features:

Alan Bell – Guitar/Vocals
Niall Harney – Bass
Jerry Deegan – Guitar/Vocals
Paddy Tunga – Drums

The Outcast Crew
The Godfathers of Punky Folk
Straight from the heart of Ireland, The Outcast Crew have become one of the most exciting names in Celtic folk-punk.
Fresh from a blistering 20-date German tour, the band have built a reputation for wild live performances, furious energy and unforgettable songs that combine punk attitude with traditional Irish influences.
Their track Bound for Hell featured prominently in the BBC documentary series on the Kinahan crime family, introducing the band’s explosive sound to an even wider audience.
Their debut album Myths & Yarns earned major praise across the Celtic punk scene, while their latest release Rovin’ Again expanded their sound into Americana and blues territory — earning critical acclaim and multiple end-of-year album accolades.
With influences ranging from The Clash and Stiff Little Fingers to The Pogues and The Dubliners, The Outcast Crew continue to carry the torch for a new generation of Irish folk-punk.
